Dr. Wendy J. Ungar, project director, is a Senior Scientist in Child Health Evaluative Sciences at The Hospital for Sick Children Research Institute in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Dr. Ungar is an Associate Professor in the Department of Health Policy, Management and Evaluation at the University of Toronto, an Adjunct Scientist at the Institute for Clinical Evaluative Sciences and an Associate Member of the Father Sean O'Sullivan Research Centre, St. Joseph's Hospital, Hamilton, Ontario.
Dr. Ungar holds a PhD in Health Policy, Management and Evaluation from the University of Toronto, a MSc in Pharmacology and Therapeutics from McGill University, Montreal, Canada, and a BA cum laude from Brandeis University, Boston, US.
Dr. Ungar's primary research interests include:
- Health economic methods research
- Medication cost-sharing and health outcomes in children with asthma
- Health Technology Assessment of interventions and programs for children

Ms. Shahjereen Shahidullah, Research Coordinator, completed her Master's degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences in 2008 at the University of Toronto. Her thesis was entitled, Development of antisense radiopharmaceuticals for probing the molecular response of breast cancer cells to Trastuzumab (Herceptin ©). Shahjereen has worked in patient-based research at the Centre for Research on Inner City Health, St. Michael’s Hospital, Toronto, and at the University Health Network, Toronto.
Mr. Shayanthan Parameswaran is a Senior Programmer in the Centre for Computational Biology at The Hospital for Sick Children where he has worked for almost 10 years. He holds BSc and MSc degrees from the University of Toronto.
Ms. Elizabeth Uleryk, project consultant, is the Director of The Hospital for Sick Children Library. Prior to joining SickKids, Elizabeth spent 16 years as a Reference and Computer Searching Librarian at McGill University (Montreal), McMaster University (Hamilton), and University of Toronto Health Science libraries.
